receives Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Recognition
LUGI has been accrediated by MDRT
Beginning 2007, MDRT membership will
be based on the performance of the member in the previous calendar
year, for membership and ato attenda a MDRT Meet. Further, a
member will be required to identify the association to which
he/she belongs.
Failure to do so will result in their
application being denied.

Dear Mr. Srinivasan
It is my pleaseure to inform you that
MDRT's Executive Committee has officially approved the establishment
of the association membership requirement of India. Beginning
with the 2007 membership year (based on 2006 production) all
applicants from India will be required to be members in good
standing of a professional association in the country.
Agents may be a member of the Life Underwriters
Guild of India (LUGI) or any other association in India that
meets all of the following criteria :
- The association must be an individual
membership organisation, open to participation without regards
to company affiliation, one of the foucses of which is insurance
or financial services.
- The association must have been in
existence at least two years and should have 100 or more members.
- The association must be a non-profit
organization
- The association must have a code of
ethics and an effective means of dealing with breaches of
its code.
On the 2007 MDRT membership application,
agents will be required to identify the association to which
they belong. Failure to do so will result in their application
being denied. Applications for the 2007 table will be available
in November 2006.
