The FChFP – Fellow, Chartered Financial Practitioner program is a professional Certification program designed for Financial Service Professionals like Insurance Advisors, Financial Intermediaries, Mutual Fund Distributors, Employees of Financial Service Companies, Banks, Insurance, Asset management companies, and all IMD's of the industry at various levels, who would like to become Financial Practitioners capable of offering Comprehensive Financial Solutions.
FChFP programme is provided on classroom-based, part-time basis and designed for members of LUGI – Life Underwriters Guild of India, employed — directly or indirectly — in the Indian Financial Services industry.
The FChFP designation is awarded by Asia Pacific Financial Services Association, Singapore and the programme is provided in India by LUGI – Life Underwriters Guild of India.

Programme Details
Candidates must be members of LUGI in good standing and must be employed directly or indirectly in the Indian Financial Services industry.
Applicants should hold at least a Secondary School Certificate (SSC / 10th pass) or equivalent, and demonstrate a commitment to professional development in financial planning.
Insurance Advisors, Financial Intermediaries, Mutual Fund Distributors, Bank employees in financial services, and IMD employees at all levels are eligible to enrol.

The programme is delivered in a classroom-based, part-time format, making it accessible to working professionals.
Teaching methods include lectures by industry practitioners, group discussions, case study analysis, and interactive workshops to simulate real-world advisory scenarios.
Study materials are designed to be clear, concise, and relevant to day-to-day practice. The structured curriculum allows candidates to balance professional commitments while studying.
Support from LUGI chapter networks provides peer learning and mentorship opportunities throughout the programme.
Classroom sessions are conducted at authorised LUGI chapter locations across India. Sessions are scheduled to accommodate working professionals, typically on weekends or evenings.
Each module concludes with a review session to reinforce understanding before examinations.
Examinations are held periodically throughout the year. The examination schedule is announced by LUGI Secretariat and communicated to all registered candidates in advance.
Results are published on the LUGI website and communicated directly to candidates. Successful candidates receive their results along with their designation certificates.
Candidates must pass each module examination in the prescribed sequence. All module examinations must be completed within the stipulated time frame as set by APFSA and LUGI.
Re-attempt provisions are available for candidates who do not pass on their first attempt, subject to applicable fees and scheduling.

Enrolment forms along with required documents must be submitted before the commencement of each batch.
Programme fees are payable to LUGI as per the fee schedule in force. Fees cover study materials, class instruction, examination registration, and designation processing upon successful completion.

Candidates are bound by the Code of Ethics of LUGI and APFSA throughout the programme and after receiving the designation.
LUGI reserves the right to amend programme terms, fees, and schedules with reasonable notice to enrolled candidates. The FChFP designation is subject to annual renewal conditions as stipulated by APFSA.
Candidates holding recognised equivalent qualifications may apply for module exemptions. Exemption applications are reviewed by APFSA and LUGI jointly.
Proof of prior qualifications and relevant experience must be submitted along with the exemption application. Decisions are final and binding.
To be awarded the FChFP designation, candidates must successfully pass all required module examinations, adhere to APFSA's Code of Ethics, and complete the designation application process.
Designates are required to complete a minimum of 30 CPD hours every two years to maintain and renew their designation. The designation is internationally recognised across Asia Pacific member countries.
